Forum Title: ISO tapered
I'm looking at pricing the first ISO tapered insulation ?flat? roof in 25 years. Yeah its been a long time. 25 years ago we used tapered fibrglass insulation boards, and felt and asphalt! So whats the score when you need to add layers at the high end? how many layers is safe to put on. We are kind of restricted here as the Tapered Insulation boards are imported from Ireland (I'm sure Peter Crawley probably had something to do with it  ) and only two sizes available 30-50mm and 50-70mm. I need to go higher than 70mm due to the width of the roof, but can source 20mm flat ISO board ex stock from here. Is It'safe to put 3 layers of 20mm at the high end to build it up? I'm not sure if I can get 40mm or 60mm flat stock, probably could get it cut to thickness if I have to. The whole thing will basically have the 50-70 over it, except the bottom line which will be 30-50mm. At that high end I will need 200mm long screws! Or should I just screw the first layer and glue the others on top? Putting 60mil EPDM over it.
